Home

I treat myself, my home, and my family with loving care.

IN 1994, I WAS DATING A MAN whose house was literally falling down. It would rain and he would look at me and say, “Hold on, we have to put out the horse buckets, the roof leaks.” How romantic . . . Having already been introduced to homeopathy and the health benefits of leading a toxin-free life, I made a decision that the best way to start my new life with this man was to rebuild his house and to do it as green as possible. This was easier said than done because the world of green building was not widely known at that time, and hence, I began a journey of discovery into how I could protect myself and my new family from the toxins in our home environment. That was when I hired Mary Cordaro, the certified baubiologist, who came with her team of environmental specialists to educate me on everything I needed to know about building the safest, greenest, and most toxin-free home possible. As a life-long asthmatic, I was intensely interested in having the highest indoor air quality, and having just

chelated mercury from my son’s body, I wanted to have the cleanest water possible. But I learned much more, from toxin-free floor finishes and household cleaning products to designing a toxin-free bedroom. These and other tips are what I will share with you in the next sections.
